The Zexcoil Z-Series Tru-Gauge pickups are the most accurate to vintage specs of anything we make. Tru-Gauge bridge pickups for Tele utilize 42 and 43 gauge coil wire as appropriate and incorporate a standard copper plated steel baseplate to more closely mimic the response of conventional Tele pickups.

The ZT65 utilizes the same coils as the ZV63. At an output level around 2.8 H, this pickup is modeled after the “Bakersfield” tones of the lower output models from the mid and late 60s. Extremely twangy and present, this is the go-to pickup for that classic country-rock tone.

• Z-Series pickups have their covers potted on. Removal will void the warranty.

• Cover color choice is presented at checkout.

• All of our pickups are made to order and with fixed cover (pickups potted in their covers) Z-Series/Z-Core models, orders placed will be built with covers selected at checkout and color changes will be subject to a $10 restock fee, $25.00 for a set of three.
