The Zexcoil Z-Series Tru-Gauge pickups are the most accurate to vintage specs of anything we make. Tru-Gauge bridge pickups for Tele utilize 42 and 43 gauge coil wire as appropriate and incorporate a standard copper plated steel baseplate to more closely mimic the response of conventional Tele pickups.

The ZT51 utilizes 43 gauge coil wire wherever possible to more closely mimic the response of the NoCaster and Broadcaster models that were indicative of the earliest Tele bridge pickups. This pickup utilizes the same wind levels as the ZMD5, and at around 3.9 H is in the same neighborhood as those coveted Tele pickups from the early 50s. The ZT51 is almost humbucker hot, but with that distinctive Tele twang. Bridging those two worlds, this pickup can cover a lot of ground.
