The Vintage Single 5 Overwound (SV5O) utilizes Tone Tuning Technology™ to mimic the frequency response of AlNiCo 5, the magnet alloy that is most closely associated with that open, glassy, classic Strat® tone. The SV5O is one notch up in output from the SV5, giving that signature glassy Strat quack in the in between positions and a nice open response in the neck. The SV5O is featured in our Legacy Vintage sets, making a great neck or bridge pickup and is also a good choice for alternative middle pickup in a Signature Set™.
