The choice is yours. Select any of our 4 TriBucker models for the bridge and a couple of Z-Core 5s for the middle and neck positions and craft a set to meet your tonal holy grail. And don’t forget the 3 position on/off mini toggle switch to access our recommended switching. This may be selected in the drop down box when ordering the pickup(s).
The Zexcoil Dual Core™ platform is the newest addition to our arsenal of pickups. Dual Core pickups consist of two independent pickups, or “Cores”, side-by-side under a conventionally sized humbucker cover. The Zexcoil TriBucker™ is the first pickup we have conjured from our Dual Core platform.
Core 1 is targeted at an underwound vintage level single coil output (the single Cores especially in the Dual Core platform tend to run a little hotter than their numbers suggest). Core 2 is targeted at a low wind PAF level output. All TriBuckers are engineered to be compatible with 500 k pots.
We recommend Z-Core 5 Vintage (ZVN5) in the neck and middle position for the best balance with a TriBucker 1 in the bridge. A “staggered” arrangement with a ZVN5 in the middle and a Z-Core 5 Vintage Underwound (ZVU5) in the neck is also an option. With a 2 in the bridge or for more of a 50s feel, a pair of ZVU5s is a good choice. For more oomph and fatter, juicier quack, higher Z-Core 5 output levels can certainly work. It’s all a matter of taste and preference anyway, so there are no hard rules.

Pickups may take 10-15 days before ready for shipment.
TriBucker pickups have their covers potted on. Removal will void the warranty.
Left-handed "Z-Core" pickups are only available from the Custom Shop. If you want this feature for a set, here is an option to add to your order. Only necessary for Z-Core pickups.
